Tusk Molding is a slide manufacturing company headquartered in Leola, PA, and has been proudly serving customers nationwide with pieces that carry Herculean strength. Since 2009, we’ve been offering playground slides, swing set accessories, and outdoor recreation equipment that is built to last.
Swing Kingdom and Tusk Molding are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to drive efficiency and savings for both organizations. The ideal Procurement Specialist will have a strong understanding of identifying, purchasing, and managing products and services the company needs to operate. This position is also key because it helps optimize supply chain performance, mitigate risks, and deliver value to the organization. They do this by researching and identifying potential suppliers, evaluating factors such as quality, cost, and lead times, and negotiating contracts.
Duties and responsibilities
- Research suppliers, products, and pricing to ensure compliance with standards
- Negotiate purchase agreements, prices, and delivery costs
- Process requisitions, invoices, and bills
- Maintain vendor relations and track inventory
- Arrange delivery and ensure products arrive on time
- Provide technical assistance and training to end-users on processes and ERP (NetSuite).
- Analyze ideas, costs, and benefits
- Communicate clearly in writing and orally
- Identify potential issues and conflicts, including but not exclusive to, volatility and product demand challenges.
- Resolve problems with orders and unusual situations
- Make recommendations to management on procurement processes
- Develop inventory purchase plans and present to management with cash flow considerations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration or related field
- 2 - 5 years experience in procurement and/or purchasing
- The ability to negotiate with suppliers to get the best deals for the company.
- Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Proficient in selecting goods that will produce sellable products.
- Proficient in overseeing procurement operations from the start to finish of projects.
- Identifies and mitigates risk or disruptions that may arise.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Recognize issues and present solutions.
