We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team for a 3-month assignment. This role involves managing the accounts payable inbox, processing invoices, and providing clerical support to ensure timely and accurate payments. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and experience with ERP systems.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with Tuesday and Wednesday in-office (hybrid work model).
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Management: Post business transactions, process and verify invoices, and maintain accurate accounts payable records. Process approximately 150 invoices per week.
- Clerical Support: Provide essential clerical support for paying organizational obligations, including sorting and prioritizing documents that require immediate payment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables and ensure accuracy for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
- Customer Service: Resolve employee and vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
- File Management: Keep vendor files organized and up-to-date.
- System Utilization: Use Outlook, Excel, Ariba, and SAP for daily tasks. Experience in any ERP system is acceptable.
- Monitoring: Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner and protect the organization against unintentional overpayment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role. At least 8 months of experience in an office setting.
- Education: Associate’s degree preferred.
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP systems. Experience with Ariba and SAP is a plus.
