Hourly Wage $25.25
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation
  • In-Feed
  • ISL / ISQ
  • Homag 1 & 2
  • Edge Coating
  • 5G Clip
  • Baumer
Maintaining
  • Conduct changeovers per schedule.
  • Adjust process settings to maintain Product Specifications
  • Assist with the Non-Conforming product handling process.
  • Perform routine testing to compare with specifications and provide appropriate feedback and recordkeeping.
  • Understand and respond to out-of-control and out-of-specification tolerance data points.
  • Inspect pallets for proper labeling.
  • Beginning of shift walk-thru with previous shift operator.
  • Order verification checks completed as required.
  • Work with maintenance to assure proper communication of issues.
Training
  • Constantly seek opportunities to engage with Operators to teach/train in areas of improvement.
  • Use coaching, training, and daily interactions to absorb and distribute best work practices for efficient changeovers, running, cleaning, etc.
Continuous Improvement
  • Find and share best practices to all shifts for improvement.
  • Work to elevate and maintain paint area and systems up to 5S standards.
Professional Experience
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Process improvement experience and aptitude
Education And Specialized Skills Profile
  • Two or more years in a manufacturing role or its educational equivalence desired.
  • Qualified FUB Assistant Operator step 4 as a prerequisite (if being promoted from within).
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Capable of Basic Computer Operating with Outlook, SAP, WinCC and work with other software/equipment.
  • Must meet minimum Work Keys scores as follows:
  • Applied Math 3
  • Graphic Literacy 3
  • Workplace Documents 3
  • Workplace Observation 2
Environment And Behavioral Profile
  • Candidate will be exposed to loud noise that may exceed 87 decibels.
  • Candidate must be able to complete task under extreme hot climate temperatures internally on the shopfloor, which can exceed 110 degrees F

Mobility And Physical Requirement Profile
  • Work location is Barnwell, SC. This job operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Be expected to stand for a full shift. Employee will be required to perform climbing stairs, walking, squatting, kneeling, or driving lift truck with variable frequency.
  • There is frequent lifting that may require handling of components some of which can weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • While performing the job duties of this job, the employee regularly works on a specific FUB line(s), walking or standing constantly throughout an 8-hour shift. May be required to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the business.
  • Employee is expected to communicate by talking one-on-one, and/or via radio to others.
  • Must be able to hear and listen both when conversing with others and when troubleshooting equipment.
  • Must have good dexterity with hands and fingers and ability to reach with hands and arms to manage or operate objects, tools, equipment, or controls.
  • The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While following all required safety procedures, the employee will frequently work in areas with mobile equipment traffic and near machinery with moving mechanical parts that vibrate when operating. These may be in elevated or difficult to access locations and positions. The employee may be exposed to environments with wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air with temperature extremes, areas with combustible dust or airborne particles, fumes and in or around toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee may also be working with machinery and equipment that presents the risk of electrical shock.
