Hourly Wage $32.50
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Safe working Conditions and Environment, Foster Safe Work Behavior.
  • Understands QMS, Quality Forms and Procedures; Ensures Compliance.
  • Ensure teams follow the correct operating procedures, policies and documentation requirements including, but not limited to changeover, startup, operation, pre-use inspections, and shift change turnovers.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical problems, contacting maintenance and other support when needed.
  • Core Competency Development of team
Safety
  • Promote excellent housekeeping.
  • Monitor equipment integrity and compliance to design specs.
  • Foresight awareness for at risk behavior and conditions.
  • Perform observations and monitor daily work practices.
  • Enforce PPE requirements and compliance.
  • Safety stewards; promote good mfg. standards.
  • Maintain environmental requirements/ permit compliance.
  • Incident commander; respond to and manage all safety incidents on your shift including proper notification and initial incident reporting.
Quality
  • Understands QMS and Quality forms and procedures.
  • Ensure all Quality Operator checks are completed accurately and timely as defined in the QMS Standard.
  • Re-enforce training for quality requirements with operators.
  • Manage nonconforming product handling including disposition.
  • Participate in CAPA investigations to determine root cause and recommended corrective action.
  • Become familiar with common defects and provide useful feedback in daily shift reports and provide samples, quantity, and any relevant information to supplier.
  • Understands Baumer inspection systems set up and troubleshooting.
Production
  • Maintain Safe and efficient operation of all flooring lines to achieve daily targets as defined by the monthly production plan (Production Volume, % Non-A, % Uptime and % Expectancy).
  • Lead daily pre-shift meeting with team to discuss performance relative to safety, Quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure operator downtime data entries are completed daily and 100% accurate.
  • Provide accurate daily shift reports highlighting gaps and\or issues needing attention.
  • Assist in providing coverage for planned and unplanned absences within your department, calling in additional resources and or realigning crew when necessary to maximize capability.
  • Assist with Competency Development of team, assessing skill levels and gaps of each operator and participating in development plans and execution.
  • Promotes 5-S within department.
  • Assist in monitoring test trials and provide samples as requested by test plan.
Human Relation
  • Attendance should be predictable and a model.
  • Maintain accessibility throughout the shift.
  • Address concerns with all employees that are experiencing negative performance with the application of proper coaching and appropriate level of progressive discipline.
  • Address observed behaviors that could be potential safety, quality, and performance risk.
  • Operators are on “on task” and work directions are provided.
  • Provide feedback as needed to department manager.
Professional Experience
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Two or more years in FUB Operator role or its educational/experience equivalence required.
  • 1-2 Years of Leadership in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals.
Education And Specialized Skills Profile
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed and capable of influencing others.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Environment And Behavioral Profile
  • Candidate will be exposed to loud noise that may exceed 87 decibels.
  • Candidate must be able to complete task under extreme hot climate temperatures internally on the shopfloor, which can exceed 110 degrees F.
  • Candidate must have the ability to multitask in a challenging environment.
  • Must possess strong initiative, adaptability, innovation, communication, teamwork, and operational efficiency competencies

Mobility And Physical Requirement Profile
  • Work location is Barnwell. This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
  • Be expected to stand for a full shift. Employee will be required to perform climbing stairs, walking, squatting, kneeling, or driving lift truck duties at variable frequency.
  • There is occasional lifting that may require handling of components which can weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • While performing the job duties of this job, the employee regularly operator HMI, communicate by talking on radio, and walk constantly throughout 12 hours shift that works days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk and talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, combustible dust fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

  • Internal: PT, KT Maintenance, Production Planning, Product Development and Sales Representative.
  • External: Vendors, Suppliers, Service Contractors, and other Swiss Krono Plants.
