SWISS KRONO Group is Hiring a Supervisor Near Barnwell, SC

Annual Salary $71,000

Key Responsibilities :

  • Material Handling and Transportation of semi-finished goods.
  • Responsible for transporting materials to the production areas and managing goods in the storage areas.
  • Function as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting SAP transaction issues related to semi-finished goods inventories.
  • Storage Management of inventories (MDF, Paper Treated, DEK, etc.)
  • Support the planning, management, and control of storage areas.
  • Regularly check inventories and conduct inventory corrections to maintain accuracy.
  • Introduce new employees to individual work tasks and provide ongoing support.
  • Supervise and manage staff, including four shift leads directly and indirectly overseeing 15 material handlers.
  • Ensure smooth operations in day-to-day business activities, including staff supervision and allocation.
  • Optimize processes in the logistics area to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor compliance with all relevant regulations and work instructions, including load securing, occupational safety, and environmental protection.
  • Maintain the integrity of semi-finished goods inventories and transactions upstream in manufacturing according to SAP procedures.

Professional Experience :

  • Experience in logistics management, with expertise in SAP
  • Experience managing staff, including shift leads and indirect reports.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and best practices in logistics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and specialized skills profile :

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-year SAP and MRP experience desired
  • Microsoft office skills proficiency required

Environment and Behavioral profile :

  • Candidate will be exposed to loud noise that may exceed 87 decibels.
  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, combustible dust fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high in specific areas.
  • Candidate must have the ability to multitask in a demanding environment.

Linguistic Profile :

  • Swiss Krono USA embraces the diversity of languages, but most, if not all, communication verbally and written is preferred in English to successfully complete the appropriate scope of work.
  • Proficiency in German would enable interaction with other logistics supervisors in Swiss Krono Group (not required)

Mobility and Physical Requirement profile :

  • Work location is Barnwell, SC, USA. This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel on short notice

  • This is a full-time position, and the general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may regularly require extended hours, and / or weekend work.
