Swoon's client is actively seeking a Facilities Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join their growing team!

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Planner/Scheduler (MPS) to effectively plan and coordinate all maintenance activities, ensuring timely and cost-efficient operations. This role involves managing parts inventory and using advanced maintenance management software to optimize the maintenance process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance planning, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and schedule maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
  • Parts Management:
    • Order and manage all necessary parts for maintenance activities, ensuring availability and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
    • Identify and procure the required tools and equipment to support maintenance tasks.
  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Create work orders and assign tasks to technicians and contractors, ensuring all maintenance work aligns with the maintenance plan and schedule.
    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and schedule maintenance activities, minimizing disruptions to production.
  • Training & Support:
    • Train technicians, engineers, and management on the use of CMMS to ensure effective maintenance planning and execution.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff regarding maintenance processes and best practices.
  • Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Track and monitor the progress of maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion and adherence to the maintenance schedule.
    • Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement in maintenance procedures and recommend enhancements to management.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with manufacturer specifications, environmental protection standards, and safety regulations.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, logs, and equipment histories.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Participate in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and undertake additional tasks as required by business needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to maintenance operations.
    • Proficiency in using CMMS and other maintenance management software.
  • Organizational Skills:
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and schedule maintenance activities.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Work Ethic & Flexibility:
    • Demonstrates honesty, trustworthiness, and respect for others.
    • Willingness to work overtime or be on-call as needed for business or emergency purposes.
    • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
