Job Overview:

We are seeking a Graphic Designer/Control Specialist to help design and create Baxter product labels and perform proofreading and verification tasks for product labeling. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of input and output documents, collaborating with the team to resolve any discrepancies. You will also assist with data entry, configuration, and document management in our electronic document system. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and execute layouts, illustrations, and artwork for product labeling.
• Ensure product labeling is created or revised according to the provided requirements.
• Manage typesetting of packaging components (text, graphics, barcodes, chemical structures, etc.) following guidelines and standards.
• Collaborate with team members to finalize artwork and submit for agency approval.
• Maintain clear traceability through multiple artwork revisions.
• Use Adobe software such as Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator for design work.
• Proofread product labels to ensure they conform to redlines using manual techniques and electronic comparator software like Global Vision.
• Ensure label artwork meets specification requirements, including dimensions, tolerances, barcode types, readability, and placement.
• Enter and manage product data and documents in an electronic document management system (EDMS).
• Meet labeling project timelines and commitments.

Qualifications:

• Experience in design control and document proofreading, preferably in compliance with ISO standards.
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Experience using electronic comparator software and manual proofreading techniques.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of accuracy.
• Prior experience in quality control is considered a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Advanced Diploma or Degree in Art & Design, Graphical Design, ICT, IT, or a related field.
• OR
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Completion of an artwork design certification program at a technical school or successful completion of a proficiency examination.
