We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Drafter to join our team at our manufacturing warehouse.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Solidworks Drafter to join our dynamic team in the firearms industry. As an Solidworks Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using Solidworks software, specifically tailored to the design and manufacturing processes within the firearms industry. Your attention to detail and ability to translate concepts into precise technical drawings will be crucial in supporting our engineering and manufacturing teams. This is a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, demonstrating flexibility and quick decision-making skills. This role requires working close around firearms, so a strong commitment to safety protocols and a high level of situational awareness are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create detailed technical drawings and plans for firearms components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Utilize Solidworks software to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and blueprints according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensure that drawings adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control measures within the firearms industry.
  • Revise and update existing drawings as needed to reflect design changes, engineering modifications, or manufacturing improvements.
  • Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to provide technical support and guidance during the fabrication and assembly process.
  • Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and project files for future reference and archival purposes.
  • Assist in the development of new product designs, prototypes, and innovations through collaborative brainstorming and conceptualization sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Solidworks software with a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical drafting, preferably in the firearms industry or related field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and drafting standards.
  • Knowledge of firearms components, materials, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to interpret technical specifications and design requirements.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and convey complex technical concepts.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and adaptability to evolving project requirements and priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in engineering, drafting, or related field is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
