About the Position:

Have no fear Swyfft is here! “Weather” it’s a natural disaster or a total loss due to human error, our team of experienced CAT desk adjusters are the best of the best at handling catastrophic homeowner and commercial property claims. As a CAT desk adjuster, you'll serve as the main point of contact to our agents and policy holders to ensure that their experience with Swyfft is nothing but fast, friendly, and accurate. A successful CAT desk adjuster will have the ability to handle CAT property claims in a quality manner delivering on standards of efficiency and customer service. *This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity that can be based in one of the following states only: AL, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, KY, LA, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.

Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.

Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)

• Investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of Swyfft’ s liability concerning first party homeowner property loss or damages, and settle with our policyholders.
• Ensure that all assigned claims are resolved in a timely manner, accurately and resolved fairly.
• Communicate and connect with policyholders, agents, engineers, and service providers on a daily basis.
• Utilize appropriate third-party resources to investigate and evaluate claims when necessary.
• Calculate benefits payable under the policy and either make payments or decline payments on claims.
• Evaluate and apply the homeowner’s insurance contract as it pertains to claims assigned for resolution.
• Understand and use loss damage estimates to accurately determine amounts payable and to collaborate with public adjusters, attorneys, contractors and other related service providers.
• Create and maintain a diary system in the electronic claims management system. and related applications.

The Successful Candidate: (what we're looking for)

• You have a solid technical background that includes an excellent understanding (and hands-on experience) in loss estimating, homeowner policy coverage's and construction.
• You're comfortable working in a metrics driven claims environment. 
• Both internal (your peers) and external clients commend your excellent communication and follow up skills.
• You're detail oriented, organized and can multi-task like nothing anyone has ever seen before!
• You're a get the job done, self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Some Requirements:

• Understanding valued policy states and knowledge of which perils apply and when tendering limits is appropriate.
• You are currently licensed or eligible for licensing as an adjuster in the states of: TX, FL, CA, NY, and AL (we can provide assistance with your licensing fees).
• You come to us with 7 years of experience as a CAT desk adjuster in the homeowner/property field.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High School Diploma required.

Computer Skills:

• Must be proficient with MS Office and other internal insurance related programs, systems or applications. (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Ability to communicate effectively using programs such as Slack & MS Teams. You are comfortable sharing screens and video chatting.
• Previous experience using systems such as Symbility is a plus.

• Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
