Symmetry is a rapidly growing sports construction company based in east Texas, and we are seeking an Estimating Coordinator to join our team! This is a full-time, in-person position at our corporate headquarters in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

The Estimating Coordinator will work closely with our senior estimators to support the bid submittal and estimating processes for sports construction projects. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates who have some experience in construction and possess a basic understanding of construction practices, terminology, and materials.

Responsibilities:

• Assist estimators in preparing for bid days. Duties may include, but are not limited to procuring vendor quotes, performing takeoffs, and general bid day coordination.
• Build proposal packages for bids, including marketing material, written proposals, and associated materials.
• Review and interpret project plans and specifications to determine scope of work, general conditions, and bid qualifications.
• Review bid docs/project manuals/instructions for necessary bid information (key dates/due dates, submittal methods, required info/submittals, approved products/substitution request needs/processes, etc.).
• Obtain and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals to determine their scope and suitability for the project.
• Participate in bid strategy meetings with senior estimators and other stakeholders.
• Utilize programs such as Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam as needed to complete daily tasks
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines.
• Collaborate with estimators, project managers, other estimating coordinators, and field personnel to ensure proposals are in line with bid requirements and timelines.
• Maintain organized and accurate project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and other project-related documents.
• Continuously learn and stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

• Self-driven, motivated, highly organized, and goal-oriented
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in construction or a related field.
• Basic understanding of construction practices, terminology, and materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel & Publisher), Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Revu, and Smartsheet.
• Familiarity with general document design.
• Familiarity with construction estimating software preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
