We are looking for an SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager who will play a key role in the Finance department during an exciting period of growth and transformation. The successful incumbent will join our collaborative external reporting and accounting team to manage and prepare the Company’s SEC filings, research and document technical accounting issues that are relevant to the Company.

The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager will need to coordinate well with others and proactively keep up with the latest regulatory developments that impact the Company’s SEC filing and financial reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEC reporting, technical accounting, equity-based compensation accounting and internal controls, along with excellent communication skills.

How you will help:

  • Prepare and review of our Form 10-Q/10-K for filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). Ensure that the Form 10-Q/10-K meets GAAP/SEC requirements. Draft financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
  • Prepare our earnings release and complete related analyses in connection with the quarterly analyst conference call.
  • Analyze current/proposed accounting pronouncements for potential implications on the financial statements and propose best alternatives. Help implement accounting standards and other such financial reporting requirements to which we may be subject.
  • Plan, manage and document the annual impairment test in accordance with ASC 350 and ASC 360.
  • Review and post journal entries.
  • Perform variance analyses and review account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Review transactions and ensure/document the proper accounting in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Ensure that our financial policies and procedures are current and meet GAAP/SEC requirements and are communicated and made available to all operating departments.
  • Provide support and documentation to assist with the audit of our financial statements conducted by external auditors.
  • Ensure that internal controls over the financial reporting process comply with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and special projects, such as acquisitions, dispositions and peer group analysis.
  • You will report directly to the Director, External Reporting & Technical Accounting.

Who we have in mind:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 5 years of public accounting or public/private experience
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to understand, analyze and summarize complex financial data in a clear concise manner
  • Ability to determine business impact of accounting guidance and translate it into operational and reporting outcomes
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP/SEC rules
  • Ability to be flexible, work in a team environment and work under tight time constraints

It would be great if you had:

  • Workiva and Workday experience
  • Experience with financial statement preparation
  • Experience managing the process for equity compensation accounting.
  • Project management skills
