Role Summary/Purpose:
The Amazon Client Technology Team is looking for a collaborative, results-oriented and resourceful person to join our team as VP, Amazon Client Technology Relationship Manager. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for driving IT solutions to meet client growth, productivity and compliance objectives for Amazon while aligning to SYF enterprise goals and roadmaps. You will be joining a team that works side by side with Amazon and the extended SYF client and technology teams.

Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the technology workstream of Client Strategic Initiatives and provide hands-on technology program management throughout the project lifecycle.
Partner with stakeholders on the PI Planning process.
Partner with the Business PM and client team to define scope and requirements.
Build and maintain project timelines.
Responsible for financials and controllership for assigned projects.
Interface with the Agile Scrum Master on managing the work once it has been prioritized.
Collaborate with client and SYF client-facing teams to drive deliverables.
Use working knowledge of Scaled Agile, APIs and an appreciation for Customer Experience to ensure SYF products are integrated seamlessly in the Amazon experience
As necessary, lead scrum-of-scrums to ensure alignment of capabilities across agile teams.
Manage and escalate risks and issues.
Plan and communicate project status, milestones, and critical issues with key stakeholders (cross-functional teams, client, technology).
Ensure solutions are successfully integrated into complex client environments via rigorous test management oversight.
Ensure seamless transition from build to a stable run environment with the client team.
Participate in Functional and User Acceptance Testing. Coordinate testing of stakeholders and cross-functional impacting teams
Participate with production validation and support as required
Drive Operational Excellence
Support resolution for recent releases and provide production support.
Collaborate with stakeholders, other product owners and process leaders globally (i.e. Operations, Engineering, Cloud, Security, Enterprise Operations, etc.) to increase the availability client-facing services
Provide client facing support and triage during operational issues
Strategy Development and Continuous Improvement
Work closely with senior Digital Platform leaders to initiate and develop strategic programs.
Identify synergies and best practices to ensure consistency across Digital Platform clients.
Provide input on how to address business challenges via technology solutions.
Gain knowledge of Amazon’s technical environment and processes, coordinate changes between Amazon and Synchrony IT teams.
Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions for continual service improvements
Leverage data to understand issue impacts and drive improvement opportunities
Lead efforts to propose and design new solutions to continuously improve the overall customer experience
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of IT experience OR, in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of IT experience
Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience including gathering business requirements, planning and defining enhancements, and managing projects using an Agile approach
Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a liaison across various business functions on IT projects as well as diverse client side IT organizations
Desired Characteristics:
Experience working with external clients and building “trust relationships” in IT
Possesses strong analytical and negotiation skills
Superior oral, written, and client communication skills, as well as the ability to manage expectations of the business, clients, team members, management and external groups
Strong business acumen including a broad understanding of Synchrony Financial business processes and practices
Demonstrated ability to drive change and work effectively across business boundaries
Expertise in complex project management
Help champion and drive agile efficiencies within projects and into enterprise as appropriate
Technical depth – ability to understand technical requirements of projects and effectively manage resources, vendors and clients
Demonstrated effectiveness in driving change
Demonstrated competency with linking business strategy with IT technology initiatives
Strong customer focus and ability to manage customer expectations
Ability to abstract technical challenges today into greater SYF opportunities
Solution seeking, creative and consultative mindset.

Grade/Level: 13
The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
