Syndicate Sales, Inc is Hiring a Quality Control Technician Near Kokomo, IN

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable standards in the foam plant. This position tests products across the three stages of production (before, in-process, and final) to ensure quality levels are met. Also, participates in the batching process and basic maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • High School Graduate. Some college preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong math aptitude.
  • Perform quality testing of foam during production runs.
  • Perform long term testing and maintain resulting records.
  • Identify quality issues
  • Accurately perform raw material profile
  • Laboratory testing of raw materials
  • Provide assistance to foam production process and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist in batching raw materials.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and specifications
  • Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
  • Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE ·

  • High School Graduate. Some college preferred
  • Solid understanding of test equipment
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including but not limited to Outlook, Scheduler and Excel.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • This position is required to wear a full-face respirator and therefore be fit tested annually.
