We have an exciting opportunity with a popular children’s brand, looking for a Graphic Designer to start urgently! Our client is looking for a Graphic Designer who can use templates to develop innovative designs. This includes working on 360 designs and packaging. Start date is no earlier than next week and will last for 1-2 months!

JOB DETAILS

TEMP: 1 - 2 months duration

HYBRID: temp position (3 days in Van Nuys, 2 days remote)

PAY: $30-40/ hour

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative and engaging projects for both digital platforms and traditional marketing efforts, such as advertisements and trade show materials.
• Work closely with company leaders and marketing team members to brainstorm and refine creative strategies.
• Take charge of the creative process when assigned by presenting well-thought-out and strategic solutions that meet project goals.
• Oversee the design, production, and management of projects with precision, including tasks like creating die line structures, logos, typography, color schemes, photo editing, and preparing files for printing or vendors.
• Create and implement all print marketing materials based on provided briefs.
• Aid with art direction, scheduling of photoshoots, and retouching images.
• Guide junior designers in developing visual communication materials that align with the brand strategy and coordinate with external vendors.
• Continuously research and share the latest industry design trends and competitive insights relevant to the brand.
• Develop prototypes and designs for brand presentations.
• Craft compelling headlines, product descriptions, and marketing collateral for consumer communications.
• Help create persuasive copy that distinguishes the consumer brand while maintaining its voice and attributes: Modern, Clever, and Innovative.
• Support the creation and execution of content and programs that achieve high engagement and positive brand perception.
• Develop engagement opportunities to expand the audience and enhance brand awareness.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work on-site in Van Nuys, CA!
• Possess BS/BA or Associate Degree in Graphic Design or Commercial Art, or have at least 3 years of relevant graphic design experience in digital, trade, and brand sectors.
• Prior experience collaborating with packaging engineers for design implementation and visual asset transfer is preferred.
• Prior experience in consumer packaged goods or in-house design roles is highly desirable.
• Ability to design within specific product categories and manage project release schedules.
• Demonstrate strong design creativity and the ability to provide diverse design solutions.
• Proficient in Macintosh-based graphics programs, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
• Have extensive knowledge of graphic and print production processes.
• Capable of working under tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
• Independently manage projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
