Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced Data Strategy Leader to drive data-driven decision-making and digital transformation in our banking organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and financial services, with expertise in developing and implementing data strategies that drive business growth, improve customer experience, and enhance risk management.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Richmond VA, Charlotte NC, Kennesaw GA, is $115k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities :
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organization's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and deliver data-driven solutions that address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify and prioritize data initiatives that drive business value.
  • Develop and maintain a data governance framework that ensures data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and analytics adoption across the organization.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization's data strategy.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, including data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
Requirements:
You are:
  • 8 years of experience in data strategy, analytics, or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in banking and financial services, with expertise in areas such as risk management, customer analytics, or financial planning
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive change.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with data platforms, analytics tools, and data visualization technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
It would be great if you also had:
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques
  • Certification in data science or analytics (e.g. Certified Data Scientist, Certified Analytics Professional)
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies.
