Role: Backend Java Developer with Multithreading

Location: Charlotte, NC

Day 1 Hybrid Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high availability and performance.
• Implement well-designed, testable, efficient code using best practices in Java development.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
• Manage Java and Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Utilize multithreading and concurrency frameworks and techniques to optimize application performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on Software Development experience with a focus on backend Java development.
• Strong experience with Java and Java EE, with a deep understanding of the language and core API.
• Proficient understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and synchronization in Java.
• Experience with Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework, Spring MVC Required.
• Experience with test-driven development.

Preferred Skills:

• Mastery of Java concurrency and multithreading issues such as deadlock, race conditions, and synchronization techniques.
• Experience with Java performance tuning and memory management.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.
• Familiarity with continuous integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills.
