Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic team in the financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Java development, with extensive expertise in Java 8 or Java 11, microservices architectures, Spring Boot, and real-time data streaming with Kafka. The role requires a depth of knowledge in designing, developing, and maintaining complex financial systems with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical financial systems, ensuring strong reliability, high performance, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Drive the adoption of microservices best practices, providing guidance on system architecture and design to support scalability and maintainability.
• Develop and manage robust service integrations with Kafka for real-time data processing and streaming capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues while advocating for best practices in software development.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure the application of agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery practices.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies within the Java ecosystem and financial services industry to incorporate into the technology roadmap.
• Take ownership of end-to-end system architecture and lead projects to successful delivery with a hands-on approach to coding and debugging when necessary.
• Ensure the creation of comprehensive documentation for software solutions, contributing to the knowledge base of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in Java development with a proven track record of successful project leadership.
• Proficiency in Java 8 or Java 11, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and Kafka.
• Strong understanding of the financial services industry, with direct experience being highly preferred.
• Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, design patterns, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle) for continuous integration and continuous deployment.
