Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager with a strong background in the banking sector to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to budgetary constraints and quality standards. This hybrid role offers flexibility in work arrangements, combining in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle for banking-related initiatives, from planning and execution to monitoring and closure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, compliance, and business units, to drive project progress and resolve issues.
  • Monitor project performance and progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring alignment on project goals.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, industry standards, and internal policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and senior management.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members to foster a productive and engaged work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience, specifically in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with digital transformation projects in the banking sector.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and compliance standards in banking.
  • Knowledge of financial software, databases, and analytics tools
