Title : Scrum Master (Banking Sector)

Location : Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Job Description : We are seeking a Scrum Master with robust experience in the banking sector to facilitate and drive our agile development processes. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, communicator, and problem-solver who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities :

• Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings.
• Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and guiding the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
• Eliminate impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected teams and management.
• Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
• Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
• Support and educate the Product Owner, especially concerning grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
• Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to enhance the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
• Work with stakeholders to identify project risks and issues, and assist in the development of mitigation and action plans.

Qualifications :

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile project management certification (PMI-ACP, SAFe).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a banking or financial services environment.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Scrum and Kanban principles, values, and practices.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to understand technical issues at a high level.
• A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from concept to deployment.
• Experience with Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
