Description
  • Be performing laboratory-scale process characterization and process optimization studies.
  • As part of Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) you will be responsible for process troubleshooting, process improvements and second-generation process development of late-stage development and commercial biopharmaceuticals and vaccines.
  • Your innovative mindset will help us develop economical, efficient and safe chemical manufacture of experimental and active drug materials.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of experience in bioprocessing
  • Cell Culture experience specific to lab-scale bioreactor experimentation and an understanding of bioprocessing at larger scale for technology transfer and troubleshooting of manufacturing.
  • Practical experience in aseptic technique
  • Technical knowledge and skills in upstream (cell culture bioreactors) of biologics achieved through industrial or academic experience in research and development, technical operations, manufacturing, etc.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in supporting scale-up and technology transfer to pilot or commercial scale facilities
  • Experience in a research laboratory setting, a strong background of traditional bioprocessing, and/or a working knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Bioreactor Design and operation skills
  • Experimental design and Data analysis skills
  • Laboratory Equipment skills
  • Mammalian Cell Culture skills
  • Process monitoring skills

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
