International Freight Forwarding Company in Queens, NY is seeking a Direct Hire Ocean Export ClerkJob Title : Export Coordinator (Ocean) Reports to : Export Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities o Handle all aspects of export operations, including arranging bookings with transport providers and ocean carriers, filing required documents, and providing full customer service for each shipment.

o Process export documentation in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance to our procedures and country requirements exercising personal judgement and discretion.

o Always utilize discretion and personal judgement to ship goods using the most efficient and cost-effective route to increase margin on each shipment.

o Manage engaging vendors and suppliers, and work with procurement team on ocean and air cargo needs o Authority to negotiate rates and make decisions pertaining to shipping vendors.

o Ensure product compliance, operating efficiency, with a specific focus on productivity, quality and profitability. o Oversee pick up on behalf of the client / agent as required.

o Responsible for accurate completion of airway bills. o Manage invoicing and collection of freight, agency and disbursements from clients.

Qualificationso Minimum 3 years of Ocean export experience. o Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding experience. o Working knowledge of EdiTrade / SAP / Microsoft Suite Programs is a plus o Excellent communication & customer service skills.
