Job Summary:
We're looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Intern who's keen on diving into the world of geotechnical engineering. This role is a fantastic opportunity to grow within our employee-owned engineering firm.
Responsibilities:
**Conduct geotechnical investigations, like site visits and soil sampling, to understand what's happening underground.
**Keep an eye on construction sites to make sure they're following the geotechnical plans and using the right materials.
**Write detailed reports about what you find and share them with clients and project teams.
**Help out with putting together project proposals, cost estimates, and construction plans for geotechnical projects.
**Stay updated on what's happening in the geotechnical world and use that knowledge to make our projects better.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
**Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
**Open to taking the FE exam within the next few months
Preferred candidate Profile:
**EI certification is highly preferred.
**0-3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, including field investigations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical analysis.
**Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze geotechnical data.
**Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to clients and project teams.
**Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
**ACI and ICC professional certifications preferred
