Our client is a leading provider of high-performance, pressure-sensitive tapes and adhesive solutions. They are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician based in Philadelphia, PA, to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and maintain production and other plant machinery, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Comprehend and troubleshoot PLCs, controls, meters, and sensor hardware.
- Read and understand electrical schematics, ladder logic, and PID.
- Assist in identifying design enhancements to improve equipment reliability.
- Install electrical, electronic parts, mechanical components, and assemblies in machines.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
- Report broken, inoperable, or unsafe equipment and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain ongoing required training, certifications, and education.
- Comply with company rules and policies, including adherence to SOPs, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity of equipment and plant operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and update PM systems.
- Work as a team player with other department members.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems.
- Maintain the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Handle emergency service calls after business hours on an on-call rotation.
- Repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electronic components of electric equipment using standard tools and gauges.
- Perform mechanical and building maintenance as required, including motorized lifts and machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, trade school, or a combination of training and experience.
- Industrial manufacturing technician work experience.
- Working knowledge of AB/Rockwell Automation programming software, including RSLogix 500 & 5000, Factory Talk View Studio, and PanelBuilder32.
- Proven experience working with AC/DC circuits, single and three-phase wiring, motor starters, relays, and relay logic, PLCs, and PID loop control.
- Working knowledge of Omron's Sysmac Studio programming software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional communication abilities.
- Ability to follow electrical schematics and drawings.
- High standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environment.
- Capability to work with limited supervision, independently, and as a team member.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
