Surveying Project Manager - Transportation Summary As a Surveying Project Manager - Transportation, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing surveying projects related to transportation infrastructure, such as highways, bridges, and railroads. Your expertise in land surveying, transportation project management, and team leadership will play a critical role in the success of our transportation projects. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and surveying teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, meeting the highest quality and safety standards. Job Responsibilities - Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for transportation surveying projects - Coordinate with clients to understand project objectives and requirements - Ensure that project goals and deadlines are met - Lead a team of surveyors and technicians specialized in transportation surveying, providing guidance, support, and mentorship - Work directly with NC Department of Transportation and engineering firms on multiple transportation projects - Ensure that all transportation surveying work is in compliance with industry standards, transportation regulations, and legal requirements - Promote a safety-first culture by implementing and enforcing safety protocols on transportation surveying sites Job Requirements Job Requirements - NC Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, required - NCDOT, required - Bachelor's degree in land surveying, civil engineering, or a related field, preferred - 5 years of experience in land surveying and project management, with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects - Knowledge of transportation regulations and standards, including DOT requirements - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
