Job Description:

Origin Story Cafe is seeking a passionate and creative lead barista to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves coffee, is excited about crafting unique and delightful beverages, and can work independently. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about developing and maintaining a creative beverage program that complements our cafe's vibrant atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

*Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages that meet high-quality standards. *Design and innovate our beverage menu with new, exciting offerings regularly. *Prepare light sandwiches and manage small food orders. *Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the coffee bar. *Engage with customers, providing excellent service and building relationships. *Train and collaborate with other team members on new recipes and techniques. *Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the coffee bar is well-stocked. *Work independently to ensure smooth operation of the cafe during busy periods.

Requirements:

*Proven experience as a barista or in a similar role in the hospitality industry. *Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, equipment, and sanitation standards. *Valid food handler certificate. *Creativity and a keen interest in beverage and light food menu development. *Excellent communication and customer service skills. *Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.00 - $20.00/hour.
