Job Description
Our organization is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at our Westland ASC location. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use in the operating room. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the medical field and a strong understanding of sterilization techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble surgical instruments for use in the operating room.
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment.
- Maintain and monitor sterilization equipment.
- Perform quality control checks on sterilized items.
- Maintain inventory of sterile supplies.
- Assist in the decontamination of surgical instruments.
- Maintain records of sterilization processes.
