Synergy Interactive is Hiring an Assistant Director, National Program & Outreach Near New York, NY
Major Responsibilities:
Contribute to and collaborate on managing Technology and Foreign Policy Outreach initiative, enhancing the National Program’s Tech and Foreign Policy Series on the West Coast.
Support key initiatives, including China, Technology, Climate, and RealEcon Cross-Cutting programs.
Develop the Young Professionals Series for Technologists on the West Coast and nationwide in partnership with the National Program.
Lead audience development by identifying new, diverse voices in technology across the U.S. through collaboration with departments, including Meetings and Membership, Corporate, and the National and Outreach teams, to expand the Outreach community.
Plan and manage logistics for in-person and virtual programs covering technology and foreign policy topics, such as webinars, briefings, roundtables, and other events in New York, Washington, D.C., and across the country. Tasks include:
Generating speaker and topic ideas.
Scheduling and executing events.
Drafting and managing correspondence.
Preparing meeting materials.
Writing event reports.
Handle communications and resource dissemination, including maintaining Outreach webpages, managing email campaigns, placing ads for conferences, and overseeing social media feeds.
Maintain and update the CRM database.
Track program metrics and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform reporting and strategic decisions.
Provide support to other team members and assist with department-wide projects and programming.
Serve as a departmental liaison for organization-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in or working with the tech industry, with a focus on the West Coast and C-suite engagement in audience/market development, partnerships, international relations, government, or community engagement. Experience in event or program management is preferred.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Proven attention to detail and experience in organizing complex events with highly scheduled principals.
A positive, flexible team player with a collaborative attitude, able to work independently and in a hybrid environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with a wide range of audiences, from C-suite executives to IT professionals.
Proficient in office technology, data analysis, social media management, and content management.
An MA in a relevant field is preferred, with a demonstrated interest in foreign policy and international affairs.
