Position Overview

seeking a Controller to oversee its financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, bill payments, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams and with external accounting partners.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the annual budgeting process.
• Monitor and update forecasts based on performance and business conditions.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Cash Management and Bill Payments:

• Oversee cash flow planning and ensure funds availability.
• Manage and execute bill payments for both companies.
• Collaborate with external accounting partners for accurate transaction processing.

Audit and Compliance:

• Coordinate and manage annual audits with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.

External Partnerships:

• Liaise with external accounting firms for bookkeeping, payroll, and tax filings.
• Ensure seamless communication between internal operations and external partners.

Team Leadership:

• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Strategic Support:

• Support strategic initiatives and business planning with the executive team.
• Conduct financial analysis for decision-making processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; ERP systems experience is a plus.
