We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Data Coordinator with Catalog Operations to join our team. The Data Coordinator will oversee the lifecycle of data within our organization, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Management:
  • Maintain and update databases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Implement data entry procedures and standards to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Organize and catalog datasets for easy access and retrieval.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Assist in generating regular and ad-hoc reports by extracting and analyzing data.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies within datasets to provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare visualizations and summaries to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  1. Data Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct routine audits to monitor data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve data discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of data standards, procedures, and definitions.
  1. Data Coordination and Support:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for data-related inquiries and support requests.
  • Coordinate data integration and migration projects across departments or systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on data management best practices and tools.
  1. Compliance and Security:
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and organizational policies.
  • Implement and maintain data security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Monitor data access and usage to mitigate risks and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data management, analysis, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations and best practices in data governance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Data Management or related field (e.g., CDMP, DMBOK).
  • Experience with data modeling and/or ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and tools for data analysis.
