Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, overseeing a team of up to 10 engineers, and will be proficient in managing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage an engineering team of up to 10 members, ensuring effective project execution and delivery.
• Oversee the SDLC, from initial planning and design through development, testing, and deployment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship, particularly in Golang, Kafka, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute engineering strategies and projects.
• Manage vendor relationships and participate in RFP and bid analysis processes.
• Focus on either Infrastructure team leadership or general Engineering/Development leadership, based on the primary area of expertise.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, with specific expertise in Golang, Kafka, and AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and manage team size of up to 10 members.
• Extensive experience in project management and the SDLC.
• Strong programming and code review skills in Golang and PostgreSQL (knowledge of Java or Python is preferred).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous roles indicating direct reports and their positions.
• Clear specification of primary area of engineering leadership focus (e.g., Infrastructure team leadership or general Engineering/Development leadership).
• Tech Stack: AWS/Golang/Kafka/PostgreSQL/Java or Python preferred for programming and code review
