Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production workflow, ensuring materials are available for production, and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demands. This position provides planning/scheduling support to meet multiple mission requirements located in multiple locations. Candidates will assist in the development and maintenance of components of the Program Integrated Master Schedule, including proposal schedule development, review/support Statement of Work and Basis of Estimate development. You will also advise the Program Management team when and if a contractual impact is expected or when critical events have happened, including factors which may impact delivery or cost. The position will entail ensuring Communication and Cross-coordination with IPTs. Candidates will have experience utilizing Critical Path Methodology and how to apply it in schedule network development and analysis. Candidates will develop/refine knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM). The position interacts across a variety of program functional organizations such as engineering, procurement, contracts, business management and production. Candidates must possess the ability to prepare status reports, metrics and make presentations as required. Must be a self-starter and have demonstrated Program Planning and Scheduling hands on experience. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as required.
Duties:
- Develop production schedules and prioritize job orders for optimal efficiency.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and track usage to prevent shortages.
- Utilize MRP systems to plan and procure materials.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Oversee schedule operations and optimize solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience in production planning, inventory control, and supplier management
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems and procurement processes
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
