NPI Operations Program Manager Synopsys is the industry leader in providing cutting edge emulation, simulation and prototyping hardware and software solutions. We are looking for responsive, dedicated individuals to contribute to the Systems Design Group (SD) hardware Operations team.Job Description:
The new product introduction (NPI) Materials Program Managerwill work in hardware operations in a high-tech, highly energized, team-oriented environment. This individual will be accountable for planning and executing NPI product builds involving contract manufacturers (CMs). The NPI Materials Program Manager will also work cross-functionally within operations, with engineering and with key suppliers. Emphasis will be on ensuring mutual understanding and implementation of the EVT, DVT & PVT NPI build plan schedule between stakeholders. This also includes permanently improving build planning tools and processes across projects. In addition to establishing a best practice process, NPI Materials Program Manager will also maximize their knowledge of products, parts and suppliers with the goal of ensuring the best possible NPI build quality across all product lines.Role & Responsibility:

• Manage material information flows (BOMS) between R&D, Global Commodity Managers (GCM's) and Contract Manufacturers (CM's) via Synopsys product data management system. Collaborate with engineering to ensure only Approved Vendor are listed, and manage changes as the BOM evolves.
• Ensures clear-to-build with GCM's and Synopsys contract manufacturers in accordance with the NPI prototype plan and initial production ramp.
• Clearly identify engineering PO's & production PO's, obtain schedules for NPI engineering builds & NPI inventory builds. Work with GCM to obtain quotes from CM's and work with buyers to execute PO's.
• Ensure SAP is set-up with PNs and cost releases
• Ensure purchase orders are placed by procurement for NPI prototype hardware.
• Use NPI dates and known lead times to determine PO placement dates.
• Monitors the execution of POs by our CMs. Attends status review meetings and follows-up with CMs as needed. Collaborates with CMs to ensure CM internal processes can capably execute builds according to plan.
• Creates dashboards and ensure adherence to lead-times and expedites as needed. Summarizes NPI material readiness, build plans and high-level timelines based on what's required and provides status updates for management reviews.
• Integrates production forecast for new products into the S&OP with focus on production start date and initial production ramp.
• Ensures that activities are well-defined, tracked and integrated, emphasizing teamwork with other functions and key stakeholders. Tracks projects at both granular (task/issue level) as well as dashboard and macro-level.
• Facilitates problem solving and identification of mitigation actions on material availability issues. Overall strong bias for action to prioritize activities, keep things moving and to drive risk mitigation actions to closure. Utilizes a hands-on approach as needed.

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in and operational role involving operational program management and executing builds of complex products. A technical degree or related background is required.
• Experienced with program management fundamentals (planning, scheduling, executing and monitoring). Experience using Excel and MS Teams.
• Experience managing BOM's and information flow across multiple sites, organizations, and functions.
• Experience with electronics is preferred, including contract manufacturer business model, as well as exposure to product data management processes, supply chain, production planning, procurement processes, product return processes and logistics.
• Experience with MS office, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with other tools (Excel Macros, pivot table, Power BI and modern PLM systems (Arena) is a plus.
• Knowledge of, or work experience with Lean Manufacturing JIT manufacturing
