Synopsys is Hiring a Principal R&D Engineer Near Mountain View, CA
We are seeking someone who can understand Advanced Node processes, and Foundry enablement needs and tie them to PPA closure by upgrading the capabilities of the EDA engines.
Responsibilities
- DTCO and Pathfinding on the next generation of nodes, to deliver best-in-class PPA with Fusion Compiler.
- Working closely with the R&D and Foundries on the bleeding edge of technology, and helping enhance EDA engines.
- Synthesis/P&R/Physical Design: Deep expertise in understanding Digital implementation engine issues and providing quick solutions (usually TCL/Perl prototypes) to show that EDA engines can be extended to meet the Foundry/customer’s needs.
- Engaging with early new node customers and supporting the deployment of the latest technologies.
- Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Science, with 5 Experience in Digital VLSI Design, Synthesis, Place & Route, and Advanced Node concepts.
- A strong understanding of Semiconductor Physics would be preferred.
