Responsibilities Syntelligent is seeking full-time Physical Security Specialists to support the Department of Justice. This position is located in Washington, DC. Duties will include :
- PIV processing and site inspections
- Serving as primary PIV Registrar Activator for EOUST
- Conducting enrollment for personnel requiring PIV cards in the US Access system
- Activating and / or updating PIV cards for all personnel eligible to receive PIV cards for USTP
- Coordinating with department contacts and field personnel; providing training and guidance on the process of obtaining a new or replacement PIV card
- Serving as a back-up to the Program's Personnel Security Specialist
- Initiating investigations to OPM / FBI on or before employee's EOD date and as soon as practicable for trustees, ensuring that all submission requirements are usually met
- Preparing findings of physical security surveys and inspections, or reviews and analyzing findings of third-party security surveys, for the purpose of evaluating the Program's effective management of risk and conformance to applicable security guidelines
- Working with each office on completing an Annual Safety and Health inspection or check list and which provides notice of issues within an office or meeting room that may need to be addressed with the General Services Administration (GSA)
Required :
- For Level I, 1-3 years of demonstrated experience supporting physical security operations
- For Level II, 5-10 years of demonstrated experience supporting physical security operations
- Bachelor’s degree required for all levels
- Understanding or knowledge of PIV cards and issuance policies
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible and Willingness to learn new skills.
Desired :
- Experience supporting federal government physical security operations, specifically Department of Justice
- Experience initiating investigations to OPM / FBI for Entry on Duty requirements
