Syracuse University is Hiring a Research Technician (2 positions available) Near Syracuse, NY
The successful technician will assist in general lab performance and maintenance, including making standard solutions with general lab supplies. The research technician will be responsible for cloning, expressing (in bacteria), and purifying proteins associated with protein homeostasis mechanisms. Additionally, the technician will assist and conduct cell-based research using mammalian cell lines and maintain these lines. The successful technician will participate in cell, molecular, and biochemical research focused on liquid-liquid phase separation, using chemicals and other reagents necessary for research execution. The candidate will work in an openly collaborative environment with outstanding colleagues, mentors, and microscopy resources.
