Key Responsibilties And Accountabilities
- Inspect incoming parts in receiving area for non-conformities, prepare NC reports and interface with Engineering, vendors and Purchasing to document and resolve quality issues.
- Perform in process inspections in Fabrication, Machining, Welding, and Assembly Areas to audit for defects and aid in resolution. Monitor the integrity of products without impeding production
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Shipping and Receiving to return non-conforming parts to suppliers.
- Inspect parts in a paint staging area for defects before sending to paint, documenting issues and managing the disposition.
- Perform the SAP transactions required to move parts into quality blocks or scrap (scrap of defective products).
- Coordinate with Production Planning to create rework production orders for parts that can be reworked internally.
- Keep accurate and standardized documentation.
- Identify opportunities, drive improvement, and assist in developing new efficient procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Relevant experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively alone with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and convey technical information.
- Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel; and reach with hands and arms.
