Agile IT Project Manager
Leesburg, VA – 2 days/week onsite
US citizenship required per government contract

ALTA IT Services is looking for an Agile IT Project Manager to work for a government contractor in the Washington DC Metro area. This is an exciting company that is growing and looking for sharp Project Managers to join their team.

The Technical Project Manager who will oversee and lead executing projects from planning to completion. The PM will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards and client expectations. The PM will work closely with the technical lead on the project to ensure that delivery is on track and work together on communicating and/or escalating identified or potential project risks. The role requires someone who is a dynamic leader, an excellent communicator, and a highly organized professional who can drive projects to successful completion. The PM will present formal status, progress, and completion reports to client stakeholders and Client leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Lead/Coach teams new to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Utilize project management tools and techniques to monitor and track project progress.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, providing leadership and motivation to team members.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Federal IT project management
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects
• Experience implementing Low Code technology
• Experience working with Agile Scrum
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with project management software and tools
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a public trust clearance
• Must be able to commute to the office in Leesburg twice a week

Nice to Have:
• Experience with legacy-to-cloud migrations
• Familiarity with COTS products, including ServiceNow, Appian, Salesforce, etc.
• Agile SAFe certificate is preferred to have
