System One is Hiring an Assistant Scientist Near Seattle, WA
Responsibilities • Maintaining the chain of custody of characterization samples throughout the complete life
span of samples: receipt, handling, storage, distribution, and transfer,
of samples at the site.
• Staging samples for the Analytical Operations team for routine characterization testing
• Ensuring that obsolete or expired samples and materials are shipped offsite to be destroyed and disposed of
prior to their expiration date.
• Maintaining sample tracking throughout the life of the sample while the Development Operations owns the samples.
• Performing sample queries and periodic storage reports, as required.
• Receiving incoming characterization samples in collaboration with warehouse personnel.
• Performing document review related to sample management.
• Creating and revising SOP, FORM, WP, and TRN related to sample management.
• Facilitating cold chain transfers of samples, as required.
• Performing other tasks as assigned. Requirements • Experience with cold chain sample storage and transfer.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written). Proficient with computer software programs/
applications.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work independently for extended periods of time with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities and to manage multiple assignments with
challenging/conflicting deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in biological science, or related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
• Sample management experience is a PLUS.
