Traditional 3rd shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Sunday night into Friday morning)
*All shifts may require overtime, including weekends when needed (advance notice provided).
QC Packaging Technician Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to ensure each consumer product is properly packaged meeting the highest quality standards
Checks labeling, lettering, seals, looks for flaws, discoloration, wrong weight/size, incorrect packaged quantity and counts
Preforms periodical conformity sampling and conducts basic product test to ensure quality standards are met
Regularly communicates with and trains operators on why and how non-confirming product was produced by the machinery and trains the operators on what he/she can adjust on the equipment to rectify problem
Maintains details quality inspection files and is able to accurately pull files when needed
QC Packaging Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required, post high school education desirable but not required.
At least six (6) months of prior Quality Control manufacturing work experience
Must be available to work minimum of 40 hours per week
Must have clear, legible handwriting
Strong computer skills, including basic data entry into MS Excel spreadsheets
Ability to communicate in English with staff. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
Good at basic math
