System Soft Technologies is Hiring an Information Technology Support Specialist Near Los Angeles, CA

Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Fully on-site

Number of Positions: 1

Pay Rate: $35-40.00/hr

Target Start Date: ASAP

Duration of Assignment: September 1, 2024 – September 30, 2024

Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends based on organizational needs

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support across the organization. The ideal candidate will assist classrooms, employees, and the executive team, ensuring prompt resolution of technology-related issues. A strong understanding of the Windows environment, Mac support, networking, and Active Directory is required, alongside excellent customer service skills. The role also includes providing training to users and supporting classroom technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and professional technical support to faculty, staff, and the executive team.
  • Assist with setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows and Mac-based systems, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Support classroom technology, including AV equipment and interactive whiteboards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues, including operating systems, Microsoft Office, and other organizational applications.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
  • Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and repairs on computers and network equipment.
  • Provide one-on-one and group training sessions on various software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Document and track support requests and resolutions using the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
  • Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude while managing multiple tasks under pressure.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with Active Directory and network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Mac OS and related support.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).

Customer Service Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.

Training Skills:

  • Experience in conducting user training sessions.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on organizational needs.
