The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for configuring, delivering, and installing PCs and peripherals, overseeing the maintenance of computer images, managing inventory, and providing end-user support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to ongoing education.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, deliver, and install PCs, peripherals, and corporate standard software.
- Oversee the building and maintenance of corporate computer images for laptops and desktops.
- Organize and oversee the return of leased computer equipment and prepare out-of-date equipment for donation or disposal.
- Provide information for management decisions on the selection of desktop, laptop, and computer peripherals.
- Maintain inventory of computers and components.
- Serve as backup to PC support specialists, providing end-user support under their guidance and direction.
- Contribute as a subject matter expert (SME) to the development, implementation, and maintenance of PC-related policies, procedures, and standards.
- Document technical issues and their resolution in accordance with corporate standards.
- Associates degree in a computer-sciences related field, or equivalent and demonstrable training and experience.
- Microsoft certifications are a plus.
- One (1) or more years of experience as a full-time professional in the field of information technology.
- Strong grasp of computer hardware and software fundamentals.
