Responsible for implementing policy, procedure, and program in support of the mission of the Campus Recreation Department-Student Affairs. The incumbent will be instrumental in the development, implementation, coordination, and supervision of the operation of the Pogue Fitness Center, to include health and wellness programs, informal recreation, and membership program. The successful candidate will oversee the operations of the active sports clubs on campus, intramural sports program, and the C.O.R.E (Campus Outdoor Recreation Experience) to include the High and Low Ropes Course. The incumbent will oversee the operation of the campus Mascot, schedule Recreational swim hours and lifeguards, and assist with all special events related to Campus Recreation.
They will oversee the social media and technology software and hardware platforms for Campus Recreation (Connect 2 Concepts) at Edinboro. This person will oversee a combination of work study and graduate assistant student staff. The successful candidate should also stay active with NIRSA, PIRSA, and related professional organizations. This position will report to the Director of Campus Recreation.
The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills; the ability to think critically and manage confidential information; proficiency with computer software programs and Microsoft Office programs.
