Facilitator of Collaborative Inquiry

Stipend: $3,000

General Description

The Facilitator of Collaborative Inquiry must be a certified teacher who will assist the building principal, assistant principals (if applicable) and Curriculum Directors in facilitating collaborative meetings involving curriculum development, data analysis, instructional impact, and other specified building-based duties.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher implementing all core curricula with integrity. 
• Working knowledge of Google Drive, Google Documents, Google Slides, and Google Spreadsheets.
• Willingness to facilitate unpacking and looking at student work protocols and work with any data analysis reporting tools.

Duties

• Attend monthly meeting with building administrator(s) outside of school hours to plan future PD experiences (choosing protocols, aligning outcomes) (no more than 20 hours over the course of the school year)

• Attend monthly meeting with curriculum directors on Tuesdays, in-person, at central office 3:15 - 4:45pm (8/27/24, 9/10/24, 10/8/24, 11/12/24, 12/10/24, 1/14/25, 2/11/25, 3/11/25, 4/8/25, 5/13/25, 6/10/25 (mostly the 2nd Tuesday of the month)

• Participate in a 4-hour summer professional development planning (Week of August 19-22, 2024, Time TBD)

• Work with administrators to prepare and facilitate professional development time
• Facilitate all types of building-based collaborative inquiry cohorts (Example: Wit and Wisdom Module unpacking, Math pre-implementation support, Science MCAS update) 
• Facilitate the interpretation of data for curriculum and instructional decisions and student intervention. (Example: Looking at student work (FQT) protocol, Data dashboard teacher sheet) 
• Facilitate meetings or support colleagues/principal with facilitation

• Assist with communication within the school about scope and sequence, common assessment and other curriculum information throughout the year
