Responsibilities
- Utilizes CNC torch carrier, shape-burning machine, flame cutting torches, plasma cutting torches, and assorted hand tools to prepare raw material for production process,
- Cuts steel materials into a variety of shapes and patterns to print tolerances with commercial-quality cuts at all times,
- Performs mathematical calculations necessary to perform layout of shapes,
- Completes necessary forms (e.g., job orders and time cards),
- Makes structural welds on extruded sleeves,
- Obtains necessary templates and fixtures to properly perform burning operations for predetermined shapes,
- Installs template and completes set-up for producing parts in the most economically efficient manner,
- Loads and unloads material from rack, utilizing assistance from others when necessary,
- Operates presses, forklifts, furnaces, and wheelabrators and makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment,
- Works from blueprints, sketches, and oral instructions to plan and lay out work to ensure that work is performed to decimal and print tolerances,
- Maintains safe, clean and orderly work space;
- High School Diploma required
- 3 years of experience in pipeline equipment manufacturing type role,
- Ability to read blueprints, Completed and passed X-Ray Weld Test,
- Ability to lift heavy objects, in compliance with TDW Safety Regulations,
- Ability to grind to field tolerances.
