T D Williamson is Hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer Near Tulsa, OK
Provides engineering support to PPD manufacturing by focusing on cast urethane molds, continuous improvement initiatives, evaluating current processes throughout the manufacturing and assembly functions and initiate lean principals. Evaluates current production and assembly methods, determines best practices and supports all urethane production tooling needs.
Accountabilities:
- Apply sound engineering principles in developing industrial, manufacturing and product design-for-manufacturing/assembly solutions.
- Use Solidworks 3D CAD to develop molds for cast Urethane products.
- Use Faro scanner/Polyworks software to reverse engineer mold components for product modifications or processing improvements.
- Work with suppliers and/or utilize on-site 3D printers to produce mold components.
- Document and archive designs in a PLM system (Team Center currently)
- Develop manufacturing processes including urethane casting, and assembly for Pipeline Pigs and Pig Signaler products
- Support or lead capital projects
- Support and lead continuous improvement projects (Safety, Quality, Lead time, and cost improvements)
- Work with operations and maintenance to identify production problems and provide corrective actions
- Produce technical deliverables (e.g., numerical analysis of process variables, correlation of process to quality evaluations, test reports, analysis reports, etc.) for manufacturing processes
- Modify the manufacturing process to facilitate product updates
- Improve technical knowledge by reviewing technical papers/literature and attending appropriate seminars and workshops with the intent of applying latest technology to TDW manufacturing.
- B.S. in Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in machining, fabrication, assembly or molded products industry.
- Good technical writing skills with proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Experience applying engineering principles, practices and formal review procedures.
- Working knowledge of CAD (Solid Works) modeling, assembly manipulation and drafting skills required.
- 3D scanning and printing experience (Polyworks, PrusaSlicer, and other software's are currently utilized)
