Position summary
T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr. Business Analysis Managers located in Bellevue, WA will analyze internal and external systems, data integration pipelines, and media measurement tools capabilities and features.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Present and educate peers, internal clients, media agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Manipulate large amounts of data and extract key insights from the data using SQL and other statistical/analytical programming languages; work directly with databases, spreadsheets, and models; utilize visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI and ThinkCell to create views delivering analytical insights to the audience.
  • Prepare data for processing by organizing information, checking for inaccuracies, and adjusting and weighting the raw data.
  • Utilize data preparation tools include Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Teradata, and Alteryx.
  • Evaluate sources of information including prototype ingestion, aggregation, and views of new data; collaborate and align with partners on what are the most useful views for actionable insights.
  • Develop understanding of media attribution model inputs, outputs, and mechanics to interpret and qc media measurement model results.
  • Develop stress test media measurement model assumptions and results; examine results and find meaningful insights.
  • Design research projects that apply valid scientific techniques, and use information obtained from baselines or historical data to structure uncompromised and efficient analyses.
  • Discuss and develop business outcome metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for media efficiency to track media channel performance changes, evaluate success of strategic decision making, and assess efficiency of media buying groups and agencies.
  • Perform variance analysis to study the deviations of actual performance versus budgeted or modeled performance.
  • Develop approaches to adapt available models and statistical tools to solve specific problems. - Continually improve existing analytical solutions and capabilities.
  • Work with engineering and data science teams to implement and improve machine learning (ML) pipelines and production-ready models.
  • Create views using charts, bullets, tables, and graphs and formulate storylines to provide actionable recommendations to partners.
  • Communicate insights with a purpose of increasing enterprise value by improving efficiency of media spend.
  • Cultivate collaborative and positive cross-functional relationships with marketing teams, media agencies, advertising partners, and measurement/analytical vendors.

  • Stay ahead of ever-changing MarTech and AdTech platforms and capabilities.
  • Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Skill requirements:
  • Developing KPIs and measurement frameworks using data based statistical and mathematical analysis to generate actionable insights that are leveraged by executives to steer business decisions.
  • Processing large datasets and performing data extraction, aggregation, analysis, and reporting using SQL based tools including Teradata, mysql, Hadoop, Hive, or Microsoft SQL server.
  • Building business reports and dashboards using Tableau, Microstrategy, or PowerBI to standardize reporting and identify optimization opportunities that drive desirable business outcomes.
  • Working on analysis and reporting projects in any combination of pricing, marketing analytics, consumer behavior analysis, web analytics, spend efficiency modeling, and marketing attribution modeling.
  • Conducting hypothesis testing and statistical and probability modeling assessment.
Experience and education requirements:PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related, and 7 years of relevant work experience.

OTHER: Work hours: 40 hours/week. Washington Pay Range: $174,117.00 to $179,117.00 per year.
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
