T-Mobile’s National Security Compliance Office is seeking a driven, detail-oriented, proactive, consensus-building compliance professional who will manage the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary, cross-functional national security compliance projects to meet business-critical commitments to the US Government. The role will contribute to T-Mobile success by delivering and implementing large or complex new systems, projects, processes, and/or programs which support our compliance obligations related to national security, including lawful intercept, vendor remote access, and other technical initiatives. The successful candidate will need to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technology development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions. Given the nature of the role, candidates must be U.S. citizens.
What You’ll Do In Your Role.
  • Develop broad subject matter expertise in T-Mobile’s national security compliance obligations to ensure that projects are done the right way. Review project scope, design, deliverables, and documentation for potential compliance issues and communicate compliance expectations and responsibilities to project stakeholders, partner teams, and vendors, and monitor their adherence.
  • Drive the delivery of technical and process controls to meet national security commitments through management of complex and interdependent projects and regular engagement with, and close support of, partner teams, including in Cybersecurity, Legal & Emergency Response, Network Technology, Third-Party Risk Management, and Procurement.
  • Assemble key players on the project team and nurture internal working relationships across the enterprise which fosters the development of cross functional teamwork. Delegate project responsibilities and tasks, interface, direct, motivate and manage the project work and resources involved within the project. Ensure timely activity, integration and productivity of technical support and administer efficient use of resources to meet requirements with clear identification of task completion. Question ambiguous responsibilities and manage conflicts to an early resolution and escalation of any unresolved issues. Play a support role with technical solutions ensuring all groups’ responsibilities are included.
  • Facilitate the creation of and examine project related technical documentation for completeness and latest versions and ensure availability and distribution to all project team members. Ensure required document review and approvals according to company standards and processes
  • Facilitate creation of work breakdown structures, develop and update project schedules/plans with actual and forecasted deliverables and manage deviations from plan. Analyze validity of schedules submitted by outside parties and partner teams contributing to the project. Distribute schedules in various formats and detail to suit different users or audiences. Monitor actual project progress, compare to the baseline, and report progress against schedule. Document, obtain approval, and track all changes in project parameters. Produce detailed reports and notifications as appropriate and communicate project status to respective stakeholders and project sponsor. Approve or recommend all required commitments and liaise with partner teams and vendors, as required.
  • Provide compliance advice to partner teams as they develop technical controls and business processes, to identify risks and use proven PM techniques to assess and mitigate. Facilitate project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation. Document the impacts on schedule of proposed changes and develop program solutions to minimize the impact and ensure alignment to time and scope.
  • Attend and/or host management and project team meetings, as well as regular and recurring compliance touchpoints, as required keeping the project team and business partners informed and progressing, including project reviews with stakeholders as necessary to perform ongoing assessments on the progress of projects.
  • Generate reporting on the status of compliance objectives using tools such as PowerBI to measure, perform trend analysis, and to share with the control operators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the creation of compliance reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits related to national security compliance and provide evidence of project compliance as requested.
The Experience You’ll Bring.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management or combination of equivalent experience and education.
  • 4-7 years Industry experience as a program or product manager or compliance professional within a technology environment, with a progressive record of successful delivery of complex solutions, systems, or services.
  • 2-4 years’ experience working in telecommunications or with CALEA/LER systems that fulfill legal demands.
  • 2 years’ experience leading technical projects in a wireless industry.

T-Mobile requires U.S. citizenship for certain roles within the organization. This role requires U.S. citizenship. Individuals hired into this role will be required to submit documentation proving U.S. citizenship within the first 7 days of hire - failure to do so will result in termination.Washington Pay Range: $127,700 - $172,800
  • The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
  • At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
