Tasks/AufgabenThe Accounts Receivable Specialist for Collections is responsible and accountable for the Bill-to-Cash (BTC) activities assigned to ensure that customer accounts are collected, and that customer aging of accounts are current and collectible.
This position will assist and provide recommendations in the continuous evolution for improving and enhancing the content of the service delivery model to the organization. In addition, the position will be required to easily adapt to an agile, changing work environment in the performance of assigned tasks and special projects in a growing organization
Responsibilities:Recording and reconciling payments on customer accounts.
Setting up/maintaining customer Masterdata accounts.
Running credit checks using Dun & Bradstreet to evaluate risk.
Interface with customers to ensure the collection of past due invoices.
Involve and obtain assistance from the business to preserve the collection of past due invoices.
Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date records for all collection activities.
Monitor and maintain the collections and dunning process through the utilization of tools and systems implemented.
Research customer account disputes and billing discrepancies for a timely resolution.
Identify and communicate delinquent accounts that require assignment to external collections.
Identify and communicate any account(s) that may result in bad debt or financial risk exposure.
Ensures compliance with internal controls in accordance with policy.
Maintain awareness for areas for potential process improvement to ensure efficient and effective processing of transactions.
Provides information for monthly key performance indicators.
Initiates and supports continuous improvement opportunities (process, system and procedures)
Lead or assist in special projects as required.
Qualifications/QualifikationenExperience, Knowledge and Skills:1-2 years of comparable work experience, specifically with accounts receivable transaction processing.
Experienced and competent in using integrated ERP software (particularly SAP).
Strong problem-solving skills.
Communicates information and ideas clearly, shares information broadly and listens carefully
Employs, monitors and improves control activities to safeguard company assets and intellectual capital.
Demonstrates the determination to achieve objectives, particularly when subject to time/cost constraints.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and constantly changing workload.
Identifies root causes of problems; generates and evaluates alternative solutions; implements problem resolutions quickly and effectively.
Attention to detail is critical in the successful performance of the position responsibilities assigned.
Good solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills are required.
Experience Working In a Shared Service Center Preferred.Competent Microsoft Office user (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
