Tabak Law is a large law firm in the Milwaukee area. We are looking to fill multiple paralegal/case manager positions.
The primary practice area of the firm is Social Security Disability law. The paralegal/case managers are responsible for handling the cases day-to-day until a hearing is needed.
Full training on the position and the law is provided. No previous Social Security Disability experience is required.
Job Duties
- Contacting clients by phone, email, mail, fax, and text message
- Data entry
- Gathering, notating, and identifying important information pertinent to a case
- Applying legal concepts to achieve a good result for the client
- Updating the Social Security Administration (SSA)
- Tracking deadlines and important milestones within the life of a case
- Assisting clients with completing forms

- Organization skills, time management skills – prioritize urgent matters to ensure deadlines are not missed
- Interpersonal skills, professionalism – communication with clients and SSA is a major part of the job so applicants must be comfortable on the phone

- Reliability, ability to work independently – management will provide support and assistance but employees are responsible for managing their assigned cases
- Sense of urgency – work quickly and efficiently and be able to identify when a case requires immediate attention
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
This is an entry-level position. While no previous related experience like office work or customer service is required, it is a plus!
