Job Overview:

Taco Fresco and Southside Steakhouse are sister restaurants based out of Rutland, VT. Together we cater for the Champlain Valley Dinner train in Burlington, VT, and pride ourselves in a fast-paced, professional and fun work environment.

We are looking for a few special individuals to join us for our 2024 summer/fall season aboard the Champlain Valley Dinner Train!

Schedule:
June 29th-September 21st (Summer) - Every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm-9pm (approx)
September 27th-October 27th (Fall) - Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-8 pm (approx)
Labor Day Weekend, August 31st and September 1st OFF

Join our kitchen team and be a part of our dynamic culinary environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties: (not limited to)

- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and assembling salads, plating desserts
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Handle and store food items in accordance with food safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Dishwash and maintain a clean and organized work are - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required!
